2010 RSFF #1499 Demolition Derby
August 13th and 14th
The 2010 Demolition Derby will be held on August 13th and 14th, at the Sweetwater County Fairgrounds. Tickets will be available at the Rock Springs Chamber of Commerce (307) 362-3771, 1897 Dewar Dr. Driver registration fees paid at Rock Springs Fire Station #3, Industrial and Elk st. Our format goes like this: Friday night (7:00PM) we run all the preliminary heats (standard and 80's cars). The first and second place finishers from each heat advance to the main event on Saturday. On Saturday (4:00PM) we run several consolation heats, with the winner of each heat advancing to the main. Before the main we run the trucks. Usually one or two heats depending on the number of trucks entered. Then the championship heat is ran for the full size cars, followed by a heat or two of powderpuff cars. Prize money payout is dependent on number of entries and sponsorships. Entree fee this year is $100. Second car is $50.
